Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends of The Order,
I, on behalf of all of the actives of the Alpha Sigma Chapter, hope all of you are having a terrific summer season. The past few months have been busy at Georgia Tech: full of great events, fun times, and, of course, school.
I hope this “summer” edition of the KA Newsletter excites all of you for the upcoming events at KA and Georgia Tech. We have an eventful Fall semester ahead of us, so be sure to mark your calendar with all of the events so none are missed.
IMPORTANT: Parents weekend is September 9/19 - 9/20. Alumni banquet is on October 25th more details to come.
We all want to see all of you, Parents and Alumni, at our Fall events, so come when you can! Please reach out in any manner with any questions or concerns about the chapter. I would love to hear what you have to say for upcoming Alumni and/or Parents events, and I will do my best to get your input into action.
Thank you for being involved with the Alpha Sigma Chapter, and we all look forward to getting back on campus and spending time with the Georgia Tech KA Family. Go Jackets!

2 FALL ‘25 PREVIEW
The Fall of 2025 will be home to many events at the Alpha Sigma Chapter, including some Tech Football!
CLEMSON COMES TO THE FLATS
Saturday, September 13 at 12:00pm
To kick off ACC play, the Yellow Jackets will host the 4th ranked Clemson Tigers at Noon in Bobby Dodd Stadium.
PARENTS WEEKEND FALL 2025 [9/19 - 9/20]
Just like last year, there will be a Parents Weekend Party on Friday Night, September 19th at the KA House. And then, on Saturday, we will have a tailgate before the football game against Temple in Bobby Dodd Stadium.
HOT DOG EATING COMPETITION PHILANTHROPY EVENT [Saturday, September 6]
The brothers will be hosting a campus wide hot dog eating competition to raise money for disabled veternans. The earning will go to purchasing wheelchairs for them.
HOMECOMING WEEKEND [Saturday, October 25]
This year’s homecoming game is set. Georgia Tech will host Syracuse on Saturday, October 25th. We hope to see as many KA and Georgia Tech alumni as possible. The brothers will be smoking Boston Butts again for the tailgate, just like last year.
ALPHA SIGMA CHAPTER ALUMNI BANQUET [Saturday, October 25]
Mark your calendars this year’s annual alumni banquet takes place on october 25th. We will be smoking meat and boston butts just like last year. More details on what time and meals will take place this weekend depending on game time.

5 FALL 2025 NEW MEMBERS
With Formal Rush Coming to an end. We are wrapping up with a whopping 24 New Members. This is thanks to Luke Atkinson (Rush Chairman) and all of the brothers that worked very hard to make this possible. The chapter is moving in the right direction and we all can’t wait to see what great Gentlemen these new guys become.
6 SPRING ‘25 RECAP
The spring semester is now in the past, and so is the 2024-2025 school year in Midtown. Here is a quick summary of the “happenings” from an eventful spring at KA.
Just like last year KA Mom’s Day was a huge success. We are all so thankful for all the mom’s do and their support!
When April came, brothers, their parents, and alumni hit the links for the 2025 KA Golf Tournament and Spring Parents Weekend at Bear’s Best Atlanta. This year’s winners are Bolts Arnold, Will Wright accompanied by their fathers.
Another great tradition this past spring was senior dinner. Can’t thank the seniors enough for all they did for the chapter and their parents supporting them along the way.
In May, after finals ended, the brothers embarked on the annual Rose Ball trip to Panama City Beach.
7 HOUSING CORP
If any Alumni of the Alpha Sigma Chapter (any age) is interested in helping manage the house and projects at the house, we are looking to add members to the Housing Corp Board. Joining the board would only require attendance to monthly meetings with the board and the Chapter Leadership. If you are interested please send an email using this link.
